Although organic search is highly credible can anyone provide me with an argument to move closer towards implementing PPC campaigns? I currently do not use any PPC in my marketing efforts and have watched my company creep it’s way up the Google ladder for organic matches which makes me think that it is possible keep my budget belt tight for right now, but I could be wrong.
Congratulations on your organic rankings! But, are you organically ranking for every single term that you would like? I would imagine that there are always more terms on your list that you would like visibility from. That’s where a PPC campaign comes in. Think of it as a short-term solution while you work on your SEO for those terms! – Mark de Naray

What pay per click advertising site do you earn the most with?
I am currently using bidvertiser
I’ve used AdSense, but there are now several others, including Yahoo Publisher Network and I believe MSN has launched its own. There are also some "context link" networks like Kontera.
Effective advertising is all about context, and I’ve found that AdSense seems to be the best at matching my page content to appropriate ads — but it’s still a very imperfect process, and I often see some strange ads.
Note that earnings (eCPM) vary immensely based on the topic of the web site, the audience, and the purpose that people visit the site — as well as the position and context of the ad block(s). I know many sites that struggle to earn even ten cents per 1,000 pageviews ($0.10 eCPM), while I’ve worked with other sites that earn $10 to $20 eCPM. My own eCPM rates for my personal sites have ranged from $1 to $5 eCPM.
I have been running an internet business, and I have always relied on SEO to generate traffic to my site. But I have not made much money, using this method. Recently I read an article about using PPC, and adwords, instead ( http://www.internationalnichemarketing.com ). The article talked about a research tool, which would help identify the perfect niche for PPC targeted advertising. Can anybody tell me if this method is reliable?
PPC/Adwords? You bet it works. Pay per click, specifically adwords, can work wonders for your website traffic.
However, you have to know where to start. You can’t plop down a huge budget and expect massive earnings. That’s the fast lane to going broke. For your campaign to be successful, you have to choose good terms and know what prices to pay for your clicks. And it is important to have something on the backend, otherwise you’re paying for traffic that will just walk away and leave you poor.
The key to PPC, and any other traffic method for that matter, is testing. You have to test different campaigns, word use, keywords, and landing pages. If you don’t see results from an adwords campaign within a week or two, then you may want to change the parameters of the campaign (keywords, phrasing, landing page, etc.)
If you don’t know what to do, turn to one of the many great tools out there; most of which can help you properly set up your adwords campaigns.
So, in short, the answer to your question is: Yes, They Are Reliable.
Hope This Helps.
Sean.
P.S. PPC is one of many reliable methods of traffic generation; there are dozens more. In fact, I have listed many of them on my website if you are interested in finding out more.
I don’t have a web page yet but am looking to try to enhance listing or try yahoo search marketing. I started a Adwords with google but no impressions so far or clicks.
That would be because your page rank is not hight enough, which means you have not marketed your website enough.
If you are in any forums, include your website in your signature section.
Digg yourself
Trade links with other, larger sites
But first you need a webpage
And even then, how often do you click on random links?
I have had people from Asia, Australia and South America buy, and of course people from the US. But last week, I payed 30 dollars for search marketing, and not a single buyer (at the time I opened up search to every continent). Which continents should I disable and why? By the way they pay with all the main credit cards, so also, which continents have Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express in regularity
Thanks!
it depends on what u sell and if it is a part of the culture
I’ve been using yahoo sponsored search for the past week. I recently found that my yahoo ads started appearing at 12am every day but there was no adjustment for the time scheduling for launching. I decided to turn it off during the night and turn it back on in the morning in hopes that the ads would reappear that morning instead. Ever since that happened two days ago, none of my ads are showing up, even though everything is turned on. I looked through the help section and there is no advice about this given situation. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thank you very much for your help!
The best way to know is to call their support team (they are very helpful!). There could be number of reasons. You might have reached you spending limit per day, but in this case you would see activity on the account – clicks and impressions. Also see if any of your ads are under editorial review. Here is the number 866-924-6676. Just have your account number ready when calling them.

Ranking high in the search engines — and improving your rank from #238 to #5 or better — depends on various factors that determine the relevance of your website as viewed by the search engines. This is called search engine optimization (SEO)
You can do the SEO yourself, or you can outsource it and hire a company to do it for you. If you do it yourself, be prepared to spend countless hours in webmaster’s forums to learn of new algorithms and new ranking schemes by the SEs. Ranking high on the SEs can be done – but it takes a lot of effort.
Search engines look at the following factors in ranking websites, though in varying degrees of importance:
- Age = the older your site, the more favorable search engines look at it
- Quality of Content = the more original your content, the better
- Keyword density = the keywords your pages are competing
- How it fares in the results = when your page shows up in the search engines, are users clicking it and staying on your page or do they hit the back button immediately (which conveys to SEs that your page is not relevant)
- Site structure
- Backlinks = how many, and more importantly, what are the quality of the sites that link to you. The more "authoritative" the sites that link to you, the better your rank will be.
If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of WebmasterWorld.com’s "Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day." http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm
WebmasterWorld.com http://www.webmasterworld.com has different sections that cover various aspects of search engine optimization, and each section is participated in by respected webmasters and even search engine employees (e.g. there’s a GoogleGuy that responds to Google topics)
